CFS Scholarship Fund
Did you know the number one predictor of homelessness and prison terms is foster care? Each year approximately 20,000 youth age out of the child welfare system. Many do not have the financial and emotional support to go to college.
Even with grants, scholarships and student loans many children coming out of placement can’t pay for higher education. One CFS graduate, who is a ward of the state, receives a total of $400 a year to pay for school. That won’t even cover the cost of text books.
The CFS Scholarship Fund is an endowment to help residents of ChildFirst Services, Inc. (CFS) attain their dreams of higher education. This endowment hopes to expand our current program of giving every child graduation from ChildFirst Services, Inc. up to $2,500 towards paying for college, trade school or housing.
If you or your company are interested in contributing to the CFS Scholarship Fund, please call Diane Seri, at (610) 717-5704 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
